What's all this about connection?

We believe that we were created for connection.

God made us to live life in connection with Him, one another, and the world. Sadly, because of what the Bible calls “sin,” we are separated from one another, disconnected from God, and we live in a world of isolation and division.

But at Cross Connection Church, we are seeking restored connection.

Life in Connection with God, one another, and the world through Jesus.

With God

How do we connect with God

Each of us desire a connection to the transcendent God. How do we connect with Him?

Through the Scriptures we learn that we are separated from God by sin. But Christ came to give life, and that life to its fullest. By His death on the cross, Jesus has reconciled us to God. Through Him, we have access to God, by His Spirit.

Prayer is our vital connection to God. By prayer we have access to speak directly with Almighty God. Through the discipline of prayer we grow in our relationship with the One we call Father.

In addition to praying for ourselves, in prayer, we want to pray with and for you. If you have a prayer need, send it to us, and you can be sure that we will be praying with and for you.

If prayer is the way by which we are able to speak with God, then the Scriptures are the primary way by which God speaks to us.

We believe that all Scripture is given by inspiration of God. Through the Bible God reveals the truth; the right and best way to live. He exposes our error, and teaches us to walk in rightness, leading to abundance in life.

Before Jesus was crucified, He led His followers in a meal and instituted a sacrament, which He directed His future followers to also observe. Here at Cross Connection we continue to partake of the bread and the cup of communion, remembering Jesus body that was broken for us, and His blood that was shed, to take away our sins.

Join us every 7th Sunday as we observe communion together during our Sunday services.

In addition to the sacrament of communion, Jesus sent His earliest followers out to make disciples baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Baptism is our identification and association with Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection. We observe it as an act of obedience, and as a witness to others that we are Christ’s followers.

With One Another

How do we connect with one another?

For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation, having abolished in His flesh the enmity, that is, the law of commandments contained in ordinances, so as to create in Himself one new man from the two, thus making peace.

Ephesians 2:14-15, NKJV
